Nurse Dez and her niece Lileigh
We are so proud of her.... We had the largest show of family and friends. There were 16 family members and two friends that are like family showing our love. When her name was called we were all cheering so loud for her I thoguht the walls shook. You can see her laughing as she is getting her diploma. The gentleman giving it to her asked if she sold out the house.
What a great night... After this we came home and watched Game 6 of the basketball finals... Our team won the championship... The first time in 22 years the Celtics brought the title home...

Quilt Blocks and stuff
Here are some pictures of my quilt blocks.
I went to iron them yesterday as I was sewing BUT the iron had other ideas.... For some reason the water was pouring out of the bottom of it.... Of course I wasn't paying attention so when I realized it the piece was soaked and so was the ironing board...
Tonight our niece, Dez, is graduationg from Nursing School... YEAH for her. We are so proud of her. We are planning on going out for supper with her later. So look for pictures within the next two days...

My new hobby
I am learning to quilt.. My friend and I sat up last night and she explained it to me. She showed me how to make a templet and trace it.. Really wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be... I finished doing all the tracing and all the cutting this afternoon. Later on tonight (or tomorrow) she is going to show me how to piece everything together... This one is going to be done in an Ohio Star pattern. The next quilt I want to make is called Single Irish Chain.
Here are some pictures. This is my fabric

Here are my pieces all cut and in baggies, waiting to be put together. My friend bought me a present yesterday. A bag for my quilting stuff:

Here is my new look.

I chopped a good 10+ inches off... My head felt so much lighter! LOL Not to mention it was just ion time for the nasty 98+ degree weather we had recently. I was sad to see it go but I do feel so much better..
